Dear CoLCA Families
Crown of Life Christian Academy will be closed tomorrow, September 27 and Wednesday, September 28.
After considering the path and the strength of Hurricane Ian, we felt that it was best to close our doors for these two days. We wanted to be sure to give our faculty, staff, and our families ample time to prepare and/or evacuate if necessary.
We will continue monitoring the storm and its aftermath. A decision on the rest of the week will be made by 5 PM on Wednesday.
We pray that the Lord blesses your preparations for this storm and keeps you safe during this time.
With our closure, See you at the Pole will be rescheduled for the following Wednesday, October 5. Also, the Blaze Pizza fundraiser for Wednesday has been cancelled. If we are able to reschedule it, we will communicate the new date.

We are continually monitoring Tropical Strom Ian.
The latest update from the National Hurricane Center shows the storm heading in a Northwesterly direction. And, according to the models, we are still in the Cone of Concern.
Based on the current location of the storm, we will hold school tomorrow, September 26, 2022. As was stated before, we will follow Lee County School District’s lead regarding closures due to inclement weather.
We will continue to monitor the storm closely and provide daily updates through email, our website, and our social media pages.

Crown of Life is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Ian.
The National Hurricane Center indicates that Ian’s path has shifted slightly West. Nevertheless, we are still in the Cone of Concern. At this time, we have no plans to close CoLCA on Monday. However, we will continue to monitor the storm as well as follow Lee County School District’s communications regarding inclement weather and closures.
